In the photo, Ian Bell acknowledges applause for his century in last year’s Test Match at the Rose Bowl* – the first man to achieve the feat on that ground. He arrived at the Ageas Bowl today having scored just one previous ODI century – at the Rose Bowl in 2007 – now he has added another on the same ground. When he played at the ground for Warwickshire at the end of 2010 he made a century then as well.

(*I’m not going to follow¬†Sky Sports and amend all records at West End to a ground called the Ageas Bowl. Those records begin from this season (2012) and prior to that they were at the Rose Bowl).
