The BBC website carries a story today about a (welcome) reduction in the number of T20 matches next year from 16 in 2010 to 10 in 2011. Hampshire have already been fined points for next season for that dodgy pitch v Somerset this year. Given the reduction in matches (and therefore points available) isn’t our original points ‘fine’ for 2011 now excessive since we’re now only playing 60% of the games planned  when the fine was originally decided?
