This is a photo of Bilal Shafayat batting for Hampshire 2nd XI last season on the Nursery Ground. In this innings he scored 219* v Glamorgan 2nd XI – he batted four times for our 2nd XI last year and his three other innings were 105, 87 and 68*. The former Nottinghamshire batsman has been playing for the 2nd XI again this year and today Hampshire announced they have signed him – initially on a short-term contract.
