The fixtures are out. From the historians point-of-view I’m delighted that we have six out of seven days at home in the week that we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first HCCC match (v Sussex on 7 July 1864)

Excited at the new season and the new set up is good for me personally as should be able to attend 2 days of each championship game and the T20 without adjusting my working hours.

Is anyone able to answer why we never play at Lords in the T20?

Can’t answer that, Ian, but it sure is easier to drive to Richmond or Uxbridge. I like the Miidlesex out-grounds. Shame we don’t use ours more.

That is true Bob. It is at Merchant Taylor’s School in Northwood this year. Another ground to chalk off. Would definitely like Basingstoke back for selfish reasons of living in the North East of our fine county..

Just noticed that the T20 ‘Blast’ format has two groups of 9, but only 14 games are played. We play Gloucester at Home, and Surrey Away, and the other 6 Home and Away. Odd?
