Hampshire Cricket History

Hampshire lost seven wickets for 48 runs and lost at Bristol today after apparently restricting Gloucs to a low(ish) score. I don’t know much about it as I’ve been at the Ageas Bowl but it means that when they resume in the 50 overs at home next week they will be under pressure to start winning and probably keep winning. Maxwell and Carberry were missing unfit – I don’t know what’s wrong with Maxwell. Tom Alsop made his first team debut (another ‘keeper!) but was run out third ball without scoring.

Went to Bristol today Reminded me of Hampshire in one day cricket many years ago. We subsided from a winning position due to injudicious stroke play and daft run outs.

Maxwell was at the ground Saw him carrying some chips through the bar at lunchtime. Alsop was wearing his shirt.

I think we now have no chance in this competition

I think its too early to say we have no chance. We still haven’t played at home and as only 4th place is required to get into the quarters I would not give up yet.
