Hat Trick

VERY close to 1pm today, Hampshire & Kent’s 8th wicket fell and next ball, Brad Wheal, having crossed while the ball was airborne, perished too. Number 11, Tom Barber, assuming that both lunch and a declaration were looming was not padded up. He took well over two minutes to appear and because nine wickets were down play went on until around 1.10pm, when he was dismissed.

But he should have been timed out

If that had happened, would it have been a unique ‘hat trick’?
