I promised to publish some of my reference sheets about specific records which help during the season. I find this an interesting one – batsmen converting 50 to 100.

RM Poore and CB Fry have the best records for Hampshire with 52% and 46% respectively but both were amateurs and neither played 50 matches.

That leaves James Vince third and the highest % rate of batsmen who have played in 100 matches, although his figure fell last year to 39%. Michael Carberry was fourth but without a century last year, he’s dropped to 36% – below Mead, Robin Smith and Rev JG Greig. Next come Chris Smith, Tony Middleton and Dick Moore, completing the Top Ten.
