There is bright sunshine in Pompey – we’re probably in for a heatwave

Last week (v Cardiff) Bob M asked when Hampshire had last fielded such a young side – I don’t know the answer; perhaps never?

Today, with Jimmy Adams injured the 13 includes just two Hampshire-born players: Chris Wood and James Tomlinson. If Edwards and Topley both play, it’s possible those two won’t in which case there won’t be a single player from within the county in the side.

I don’t know the last time that happened either. Maybe late 1980s, after Jesty and before Aymes/Ayling/Udal?
