This is the scene/score last night of course, but if the forecast is anything to go by it might be unchanged tonight – although right now it is dry in Pompey, about 15 miles to the east. (PS: 8.15 am and it’s pouring …)

Incidentally when is “right now”? Linda S was worried yesterday that I was up in the early hours blogging furiously. The good news is that the Blog does not adjust for BST so add an hour to any time shown on the post.

Whatever happens today I shall be there for the day, as we have a Committee Meeting around 6pm/CoP – it will be Terry Crump’s last and during the meeting he will hand over to whoever is elected as his replacement. Terry’s the best of blokes and he has been a terrific Chairman. He deserves his ‘retirement’ although he will still be around and still getting involved in things. I can let you know the name of the new Chairman later and any other interesting news.

Finally many thanks to everyone who has bought a copy of Forever Changes.  It’s sold really well over the past few days, I hope it’s a good read (enjoyable isn’t perhaps quite the right word …) and thank you for supporting Cage Cricket.

Keep a copy of your book for me please. I’m hoping to pop in Wednesday lunch time.

Kev just announced on Solent that Topley is injured and is unlikely to bowl . . .

4pm. It’s his right hand, and he said he could bowl . . . Then play was abandoned for the day . .
