2nd XI won their 50 over bash v MCC by 221 runs (!) while a ‘first team’ beat Dorset in a T20 warm-up friendly by 57 runs

Thinking about that Ball situation reminded me of the match v Glamorgan (home) in 2004 when Darren Thomas took four Hampshire wickets and scored 105 (retired out) then at the start of day three, made way for Simon Jones who didn’t play in the Test.

It almost backfired. Jones took 0-51 in 10 overs and Glams just avoided defeat on 150-8 (he didn’t bat).
