During the Easter holidays I met a small group of young people in the Atrium. They were there for coaching and I was sorting out a couple of displays. A young lady called Tilda (about 10?) was particularly chirpy and looking at the historical displays asked directly “Why are they all men?”

Well Tilda, from this morning that’s no longer the case. In anticipation of the arrival of the Southern Vipers (first match July), I’ve put up a display about Women’s Cricket which goes back to 1745. It’s in the north-east corner of the Atrium:

On a ‘related’ topic, I’ve just read an interview with Tino Best in The Times with the headline “All players have groupies, that’s not being sexist”. I’m not sure what he will make of the exhibition!

As the Times has a paywall, I can’t read most of the article

Apologies. I read it in the paper so didn’t spot that bit. You didn’t miss too much!
