Roger Treherne

Roger has been a Hampshire member for over 60 years and a Committee member since 1986. He was the first Chairman of the Members Committee for four years from 2002 under its new constitution following the club becoming a Plc.

Until recently he was Chairman of Hampshire County Cricket Youth Trust. This is now within Hampshire’s charity arm. His playing days were spent with Deanery Cricket Club, Southampton and before that 3 years in “Holts Colts”. He has been a member of the MCC since 1986.

(Roger’s father Jack was a very fine bowler. John Arlott once suggested that he was perhaps the best Hampshire bowler never to have played for the county side, although he did play for the Club & Ground and 2nd XI)
