This is the cover of this year’s MCC Members’ Ticket Envelope. To the right of the England captain, in shades, is Graham Mills (strictly speaking Professor GM) from the University of Portsmouth, a pal of mine and a regular Hampshire supporter.

And if (or when) you’d like to know the Answers to the Quiz, they’re in the first Comment

The two pictured are Stephen Andrew and Kevin Emery and they share the BB figures for Hampshire v Essex. Both took 5-24 at Chelmsford: SA in 1987, KE in 1982.
‘Sneaky’ question about Hampshire’s first ‘one day’ semi win because like their defeat to Essex in 1985, it took TWO days. I try never to use the term ‘one day’ for such reasons.
Record for catches in a limited overs innings for Hants is five by John Rice. Against us it’s only three and IT Botham and Gareth Andrew have both done that twice.
Gooch was ‘run out’ and the Hants-born umpire who missed it was Barrie Meyer.
