Arundel: Rain – no play before lunch (Starting at 2.30)

PS: 2nd XI: I think there must have been rain in Basingstoke too but they are playing. Gloucs 2s need 397 to win and just after lunch are 62-0, Wheal and Tomlinson bowling. (Later) Weatherley has a wicket but Tavaré has a century

Meanwhile: Surrey seem to be heading for a victory today which, if it happens, would leave Hampshire more than 20 points adrift at the foot of the table. (Later) Surrey did win. Hampshire 50 points, Surrey and Notts 72 points, although Hampshire have two games in hand.

Is the one-dayer tomorrow at Basingstoke?

Comment by Bob Elliott

Our website says yes but this was last weekend…..

I see our former Irishman Sean Terry is turning out for Northants at Arundel. Apparently he is playing on a non-contract basis and is also the 500th player to represent Northants in first-class cricket.

Comment by James

Well good for him and good luck too. As for tomorrow – no idea Bob, sorry

Bearing in mind that there is another cut strip at May’s Bounty, I assume that the T/20s are there tomorrow. However, the current weather forecast is awful for tomorrow in Basingstoke so I think I will stay at home!

Comment by John (second XI groupie) West

According to the Hampshire web site T20s at Basingstoke tomorrow

2ndXI drew – five wickets, two for Josh McCoy, five catches for Jimmy Adams. Batsman’s pitch it seems, unlike Arundel

Comment by Dave Allen

Sorry, three catches for Jimmy Adams.
