Pavilions in Splendour

I’ve mentioned before that Bob Elliott is working on a couple of books about all Hampshire’s cricket pavilions. The first one will be about grounds used by the county club but there is another looming about all grounds

Bob has a list which as you might imagine is rather long but I’ll happily send the full list to anyone who wants to see it, by email (dave.allen@port.ac.uk). Bob would like to hear of any observations, additions etc and if the ground is particularly obscure (or vanished) how he might get a photograph of at least the spot where the pavilion once stood.

An example:

ALDERSHOT Officers Club Services Ground

ALDERSHOT Officers Club Services Ground – Pitch 2

ALTON Anstey Park

ALTON Municipal Ground

AMESBURY Bonnymead Park

BASINGSTOKE Hackwood Park

BASINGSTOKE Russell Howard Sports Ground

BASINGSTOKE Stratton Park

BEDALES SCHOOL Pitch 1

BEDALES SCHOOL Pitch 2
