A Rare Photo

Courtesy of Tigger (cheers) – Hampshire with four batting points!

Interesting figures for Borthwick who seems the prime choice for the Test side. He made just five yesterday and in the previous Championship match (v Yorks) two and four. ‘Running into form nicely’, while Hildreth remains England’s forgotten man.

PS Just heard that Bob M and Tigger have found a higher Hants total with no century (481-7 dec v Surrey, Oval, 2007)

I know it’s only a photograph but the apparent clarity in daylight of the names and numbers puts the Ageas Bowl scoreboards to shame.

Yes, it is a great scoreboard, not quite as good as Trent Bridge but not far off. It’s definitely what we want at The Ageas and preferably closer to Shane Warne stand so Kevan and Co. can see it from the hotel. PS. Can’t take any credit for the Hants highest score without a century. It was all Bob’s work.

I think landscape style scoreboards as opposed to portrait ones are generally far better.

Looks like Will Smith and/or Carbs will be bowling plenty of overs this afternoon. We only managed 29 before lunch and with no Crane or Dawson we need to get the over rate up! Or it will be more points deducted.
