Raining again up north

But Brad Wheal has good figures for Scotland v Afghanistan  today before the ‘weather’ arrived there too (it’s beautiful in Pompey). With Dawson (& maybe Vince?) available and McLaren injured, the selection for next Sunday is interesting.

As a kid I watched quite a bit of cricket in Chesterfield, while on holiday. It seems extraordinary – and rather sad – as we enjoy a spell of dry weather, that their current match has been abandoned including tomorrow’s play already.

PS At Durham this week, a wicket fell every 14.4 overs. That’s the highest rate all season in any Division One match except for Somerset v Yorkshire at Taunton (14.9)
