Say It Loud …

The last time that Hampshire played a Championship match without a single Black or Asian player was over two years ago, in early June 2014, when Michael Carberry missed the home match v Derbyshire. He has missed a few white-ball matches this year but not in the Championship – indeed before yesterday, he had played in 24 consecutive Championship games dating back to the start of last season. He missed the end of the 2014 season when Alsop made his debut and Imran Tahir played. I believe he’s unwell.
