KICK OFF TOMORROW is 1.30 – not 2.00

Last Tuesday (same competition) this would have meant the Southsea Skiffle Orchestra overlapping with the first ball. This Tuesday all will be silence I believe but if I’m there on time (coming from the Dentist) I’ll sing you a song.

Why is it a different time you ask? Well we wouldn’t want supporters to get complacent about things would we?

It’s raining in Pompey so presumably on its way to the Oval where Surrey have made a brisk start.

All tomorrow’s matches have been moved to 1330.
It’s usual for all the matches in the last round to start at the same time, but it’s not clear why this last minute change has occurred

Sky sports!

Of course we could adopt a counter-cultural attitude to this and stand in protest outside until 2pm. There again, I’m probably showing my age again …

Judging by the forecast I think Surrey will be lucky to get on again today.

In which case they start tomorrow on seven points and can only get nine. If we win, we have ten.

Surrey & Glamorgan no result…..

New email confirming gates open at midday and writes of Sean Ervine’s side hoping to reach the QFs. Sean however is not in the 14 players tomorrow.

Not sure there will be silence…….it’s the Zooters players signing day so there should be plenty of little people in early 😊
