Oh Happy Day

It’s my favourite day of the year – spending a day with Hampshire’s cricketers of the past, today covering a period 10 years longer than I’ve been alive!

Here are David Turner, Raj Maru, Bob Stephenson and behind them Alan Castell. The senior attenders were Leo Harrison and Alan Rayment. Others from the ’61 Champions: Dennis Baldry, Alan Wassell, Mike Barnard, Malcolm Heath and from 1973, Trevor Jesty, Mike Taylor, Bob Herman, and Richard Lewis. Incidentally John Holder was there and his new biog, written by Andy Murtagh, is out.
