KEEP on Running

Hampshire’s two ‘keepers’ are leading a very welcome recovery. Earlier today I wished Kevan a good day as it is (apparently) National Left-Handers Day. Sadly it didn’t do ours any good, but we’re now scoring at a faster rate than any of the other Div One teams. Mind you that young man at Lancashire is doing the business again – he has to play Test cricket pretty soon surely? (The Notts ‘leggie’ hasn’t flourished yet – no chance to charge around the field so far).

PS A century for Hameed and then the same for Wheater – reaching exactly 100 gives him 777 runs for the Championship season so far, Hampshire’s highest run getter of 2016. Excellent stuff, and well done McManus too. Today’s run-rate makes a win more possible than last weekend.

PPS Does that count as the (double) curse of the ‘Blogger’? Wheater almost immediately dismissed by Imran Tahir (and Mason Crane batting at 9?)

It would appear the Notts leggie doesn’t do the flying thing anymore.
The innings is subsiding somewhat now!
