Some of you will know that when I’m not commentating with KDJ, I tend to listen and often send bits of info.

I’ve just sent him this – all absolutely true:

“I’ve been out-and-about all over the place this weekend, following the game only on my ‘phone but not hearing once your commentary. At about 12.55 today I came home from Southsea switched on the commentary and the first ball I heard in the whole game Jimmy was dismissed on 99. Then Dawson was bowled from a no ball, then he was dropped then he nearly played on.

That’s it! They’re doing really well while when I’m not listening, so I’m switching off!
Have fun.”

Second XI at Horsham for a SEC 3 day match and are 77-2 having won the toss.

Nothing on CricHQ as yet although it is reporting on our U16’s who are also playing Sussex today and are 197-9.

Some CC stats,

8 games in Championship where there has been no second innings for one of the sides due either to the weather or not required with six games drawn and two losses.

Hampshire on 3 occasions
Oppenents on 5 occasions

Comment by John Cottrell

Should have added there has been only 571 runs by opponents in these eight matches (to our 1719 runs).

Sorry the second innings runs are for whole season ……

We’re batting on after tea, must want a lead of 450!

Patel on a hat trick! A wicket either side of tea.

It’s that kind of match for the SLAs obviously – incidentally, since Liam has bowled, he didn’t get his
