Interesting to read that the Vipers opening match at the Ageas Bowl, which attracted 2,000+, was the biggest crowd in the women’s competition this year (so far – Finals tomorrow). I didn’t go so I’m not sure – was there a charge, or was it free?

Hampshire Cricket History 
I’m getting worried for Jo. After 14 balls, Northants have contrived a silly run out, a catch from what the umpire was about to signal a leg-side wide, and lbw from a straight full toss. Notts have set three slips! (NB it’s 11.42 not 10.42)

Incidentally, about 50 minutes later, Ben Duckett is looking superb and certainly making a game of it …
*And Russell is now injured while fielding. I seem to recall a Caribbean player jetting in for a losing semifinal at the Rose Bowl in 2010 …

It is a shame that Hampshire Cricket Big-Wigs again forgot that they had MEMBERS – because there was no notification to us about the sale, either by email or on the website. The hierarchy also lied, yes LIED, by giving members false information about gate opening times!
