The ‘Poor Boys’ – Northants and Durham, both broke apparently, are contesting the Final. The BIG boys are out

Four of England’s top six, Hales, Root, Ballance & Bairstow batted today and made 10 between them with two ‘ducks’

Willey has a broken hand. Perhaps ‘Tommo’ will get that England call up?

Of course Yorkshire are also supposed to be poor boys- or at least hugely in debt – but that doesn’t seem to have stopped them splashing the cash on players.

All the more satisfying to see Northants and Durham make the final!

Yes indeed James. Incidentally those two BIG boys have only managed one Final each in 14 years – and neither as winners. Northants have reached the Final three times in four years, which is better than Hampshire’s recent efforts (too many losing semis)
