Corbyn? Are you sure?

Thanks for all the kind comments. Once again the Blog cheers me up. Someone mentioned the Player of the Year vote that closed before it opened – who mentioned Stalin?

You can vote on here – Tino anyone?

OK me first – Ryan McLaren (followed by ‘Slug’)

I managed to vote in time and went for Ervine. A month ago it would have been McLaren but sadly he just ran out of steam.

I was slightly amused that you could vote for Reece Topley or Andy Carter but not Adam Wheater. Now he may no longer be here but he did his bit. A shortlist to choose from might have been a better way to go about it.

I think he did run out of steam – at least with his bowling – but was he injured yesterday? He didn’t bowl at all. It seemed to me that both captains had it in there heads that spin was the thing but it wasn’t clearly so. Pringle took wickets but was very expensive. Shane Warne always says if it seams it will spin. I wonder if the reverse is true?

He did bowl two overs in the end but they were expensive and his run up just did not look right at all.

Wheater might be a good candidate for the Adil Rashid “Good man to go into the jungle with” award. Quite a contrast with Stoneman and Borthwick

being provocative Wheater!

Seriously Slug

It has to be Ervine for me. His first ever 1000 runs in a season and 4 centuries.

Comment by Tigger Miles

I would certainly have voted for Ervine.

Comment by James

I would go for Ervine for his 1000 runs, with a mention in dispatches for Liam Dawson for his one day form.
