Not Going?

I’ve made this point before but having travelled back from Glastonbury last night I can’t resist passing on the news that the Glastonbury Festival site opened this morning, had significant on-line problems but nonetheless by 10.30 am (earlier?) had sold-out – at £243 per ticket.

So what? I’m merely reporting that news in the context of what I’m told by the ECB, that young people’s life-styles don’t support them devoting 4/5 days to a single event, they want instant, quick entertainment, before moving on to the next thing.

The ECB and Rod have decided that CC cricket is not attractive, marketable and therefore not bankable.
There is no evidence to support this as CC cricket isn’t marketed.
However they ‘know’ so don’t need any evidence! Bit like politians really.

Except of course that politicians are elected and we, the great unwashed, have an opportunity to vote them out too!
