Thanks to Paul for spotting this. Whatever you think about the decision, it suggests that the decision-making process and its communication was less than ‘perfect’

Hampshire Cricket History 
Living in Kent close to Canterbury, nearly all of my friends are Kent supporters and, indeed, most of us know George Kennedy. It was common knowledge here that he was appealing the decision and also taking legal advice. I, of course, have been defending the decision saying that the “rule” was two down and only one up and that is the case.

Sadly I fear we members will suffer the animosity generated by his behaviour in this sorry affair.
