The Indians are reputed to be the best team in the world but weren’t very good last week (or last time v England) and the attendances would have been pretty poor without all those schoolkids

Meanwhile: (BBC) Australian commentators have proclaimed a “crisis” in the nation’s cricket team after it slumped to another emphatic loss. Captain Steve Smith said he was “embarrassed to be sitting here” at a news briefing after the game, but local observers were even more withering. “Australian cricket is in crisis like never before,” was one verdict.

It’s obvious then why English cricket is so impressed by the IPL & the Big Bash and wants to follow the route taken by those two countries. Simple isn’t it?
