It’s a nice enough day for cricket on the south coast today, meanwhile some Hampshire players are representing the South in a 50-over ‘away’ game v UAE.

UAE: 343-9 (Dawson 10-0-57-0, Crane 7-1-52-1)

South: 152-1 from 22 overs (Vince 45*)

It’s on all the cricket score websites

PS: Actually I was wrong, it’s not (Cricinfo?) – but it is on BBC Sport site, and the South need 87, from 84 balls, with, as Ron has noted, Vince into three figures

PPS: Vince ‘retired out’ on 125, Dawson out for 11, Alsop 29*, Crane dnb and the South won by 5 wickets (but six really …)

Cue Phil Harris:

Nor am I Bob, although it feels a bit like it in my back garden. Where’s that Bacardi?

Hants v Notts (2-day) starts today in Barbados. I expect there will be full commentary on Southampton Hospital Radio, right Dave?

Did Hampshire play today? Where’s our Barbados correspondent, Jo?

Comment by Bob Elliott

No idea Bob, nothing even on CricHQ although I can confirm that Scarborough CC Under-13s Red beat Scarborough CC Under-13s Blue yesterday.

I believe Jeremy Corbyn was celebrating all night!

Notts 279-5 declared at tea. (Brad Taylor at least 2 wickets).

At stumps Hants were 90-1. Carberry and Adams opened with Carbs making at least 52.

That is all I have been able to deduce from Twitter. There is nothing so far on either county website. These clubs certainly don’t make it easy for supporters to follow them.

Cheers! Keep it coming please
