Thanks for all the info:

Surrey 231 & 186 (Crane 5-77, Wood 4-34)

Hants 218 (Wood 75, Smith 36) & (Target 200) 21-0

In that innings of 218, Hants went from 51-0 to 92-7 before Wood (& Taylor) came to the rescue

For Fridays first team Alsop replaces Rossouw (suspected crack fracture and out for a few weeks) and Topley replaces Edwards (Grade 1 Hamstring- should be back for next game) No other changes to 12 man squad.

Topley only played first day of Seconds game so looks odds on to start.

If Crane is to start will it be at the expense of an impressive Wheal? I doubt it so he may miss out again which will be very unfortunate and perhaps a mistake bearing in mind the Head Groundsman says he has never seen such dry wickets in April!

Thanks Ron. Bailey arrives soon so what happens if Alsop scores a match-winning century? !!

We will all cheer loudly!

I would suggest the club captain’s place is not that secure, if Hampshire can pick from a full-strength squad.
