Since they entered it in 1895, have Hampshire beaten Yorkshire twice in a season in the County Championship and that was in 2006 when Craig White captained Yorkshire

Three Hampshire players from back then are involved in today’s game: Jimmy Adams whose big hundred won the game at Headingley, Sean Ervine who played only in the home game and Billy Taylor!
