It rained overnight, but at 8.38, the sun has just come out in Pompey.

I’ll be at the ground today, and will add comments if there is anything significant to reveal.

PS Fairly wisely the Gilliat book author has decided to delay his appearance until Friday 2 June (v Warwicks)

Chucking it down at the Bowl when I went past this morning at 6:30.
Looks like a stay at home afternoon marking work.
Still Chelmsford this weekend white clobber and red balls and no weird D/L!

Do we know the latest start time?….or the min overs required for a game?
Very unlikely I know…but if the rain stops about 7 ish?

Trying to decipher the Playing conditions, it looks like 42 minutes for 10 overs, each, plus 10 minutes in between innings. So 94 minutes before 9.45pm, with perhaps some small print that might add about another 8 minutes “leeway”, whether the presence of SKY makes this more likely or not I don’t know.

So, probably 8.11, maybe 8.19.

Which, looking at my forecast, means it’s very likely a wash out.
