Sky have just had one of the umpires on (Mike Burns). He says they have to start by 7.41pm (don’t you love that 1?) to play 10 overs each

The groundsman has said, he needs at least two-and-a-half hours to clear up, so the rain needs to stop by 5pm

He says the radar is still predicting it will not stop until about 8pm

Little reason to be optimistic then. I’m still at home.

So if it stops raining and they go for 10 overs each you have to keep the engine running so you can zoom over there by over 15 to give Hospital radio 5 overs commentary. Sounds good, do I see sunshine !

Surrey match abandoned- we cannot qualify!

Sussex neither. For what purpose exactly have they not followed suit at the Ageas Bowl? To keep the ‘crowd’ happy?
