Rain Stopped Play

A friend of mine from Portsmouth & Southsea CC told me last week that they had played every league game so far, because the bad weather had come midweek – as with the floodlit Championship days. I’ll be surprised if there will be much play today however, unless the rest of Hampshire is more ‘clement’ than Pompey.

PS (3.30) As I suspected, Mike Vimpany (vimpsatthe crease.com) reports:

“All 20 scheduled Premier League games were called off by lunchtime and most, if not all, the Hampshire League programme was cancelled. It is the first time this season the elements have struck”.

The forecast for tomorrow is a bit hit-and-miss, and not terrific

As the weather is against the cricket I recommend tucking yourself up on the sofa & having a listen to this 😉

Cheers Jo. I’m off out serenading my public tonight, but when I’ve finished (with both of them) I’ll come home and have a listen!

In tthe Hampshire League IBM v Wherwell got started on time, but only lasted 10 overs, then we had tea, and went home . . .

Better than most then Bob. If only it could have been 5 overs each – James would have loved it!

I would have travelled all the way to see it.

Provided there was a Beefy’s on-site obviously.
