The lunchtime forecast today is no more optimistic I’m afraid.

There’s a brief feature on Benny Howell in today’s Cricket Paper. Interestingly he figures in four consecutive record Gloucs stands v Hampshire and also our best opening partnership. All is revealed at Tigger’s site:

Incidentally last night’s T20 attendance at Lord’s (Middx v Essex) on a dodgy evening, was over 27,000 – bigger than the Test Match.

Looking at the 3 hour rain radar at 2.30pm….the main bulk of rain might be heading a bit north of Bristol, so we might get a shortened game. (so “big hitting” Rossouw and Afridi would no doubt get another life and play)

I meant to add the Cricket Paper reports that Benny Howell is the leading domestic T20 wicket-taker since the start of last season.
