The BBC reports that both will miss the rest of the season and apparently Tom Alsop is now being considered as a wicket-keeping replacement for McManus. It’s either Tom or Calvin Dickinson. In addition of course Reece Topley has a back problem again.

5.15pm: There’s no news about this on the Hampshire site (yet?), nothing about tomorrow’s squad and (unlike Sussex) nothing I can see about the 2nd XI T20 Finals tomorrow

On the bright side the Hampshire site (I was so tempted to use an additional h there) does say “The Ageas Bowl is looking to recruit four new members of staff in various areas of expertise to join its expanding team” so maybe one of the new recruits will be someone who knows how to run a website.

The Hampshire site now has a 14-man squad for the two games (Adams, Dickinson, Edwards, Afridi etc) but no comment about the absentees. The 2nd XI will be something of a depleted side tomorrow
