Hampshire Cricket History

Do you remember that back in 2010 Hampshire failed to chase down Somerset’s 104-7. Jimmy scored 60+ but we lost, and were fined points for a poor pitch?

It remains the lowest score we’ve failed to chase down
SINCE 2012, the lowest scores (against anyone) we’ve failed to overhaul:
151-5 v Kent in 2012
143-8 v Kent in 2013
159-6 v Kent in 2017

Great start by Dickinson!

I’ve no idea, but Dickinson’s 50 from 23 balls might be Hampshire’s fastest ever. Astonishing start!

Hampshire winning this one. They won the first three, but since then this will be their first time with two wins in two games.

That innings of Jimmy’s was one of the best I have ever seen for Hampshire in any form of cricket. It was a wonderful display of courage and technique on a genuinely dangerous pitch. None of his team mates was remotely interested in hanging around. Just demonstrates that t20 matches can leave some memories! James Vince has also left a host this season, none more so than last night. Almost Barryesque in his timing and placement.

McManus may struggle to regain his place when back from injury if Dickinson keeps this up.
