I’m sorry to report I’ve just heard from Brian Scrimshaw that Brian has died. In terms of Hampshire cricket he was a regular attender for many years as a Life Member, although he had spent his early years in Coventry. He was also the Treasurer of the Portsmouth Area Supporters – the last of the regularly active regional groups that were established back in the 1940s.

Any cricketers among you might also have known Brian as an umpire with Waterlooville CC and over in Fareham, in the winter Indoor Cricket Leagues.

Indeed, RIP Brian. He travelled widely too; Australia and other trips abroad to watch England. Loyal to Hampshire and P and SE Suppirters’ Association.
