For the Simpletons

(From Colin, thanks, from the Evening Standard)

PS: I very much enjoyed the county 50-over compertition this year – better than most of Hampshire’s dull, weather-ruined, or one-sided Championship matches, so far.

But, as ‘matches’, the three ODIs v India were rubbish. India won the first by 8 wickets with 10 overs to spare, England the next by 86 runs with Dohni stonewalling, and tonight England by 8 wickets with 5.3 overs to spare.

So the World Cup is over and I don’t think there was any football yesterday, so it’s great to see the European and Scottish League Cup competitions have kicked off tonight.

“It’s coming home …”
