T20 v Kent

Bad start to the evening with Somerset stuffing Essex, taking them eight points ahead of Hampshire. Still at least the recalled Abbott has struck!

Hampshire’s worst-ever start in T20 was one win in 10 games in 2016. They’ve done well in the first half tonight, and a win would beat that record (second win in nine games). Also two other top sides not having an easy night. The table might look less clear later this evening.

There again … 7-3!

PS: Lowest ever is still 85 v Sussex in 2008. Then 91 v Somerset in 2017; 95 v Essex in 2004; 97 v Somerset in 2010 & 99 v Middx in 2010. So this is SECOND LOWEST ever

Is there collective amnesia when it comes to batting?

Rilee back to the man I remember! Nine T20 innings, 95 runs. Mind you Alsop’s form is diabolical; mind you so is …

Hampshire’s lowest T20 score v Kent is 117-5 in 2010 – but they won that game!
