I was there to hear the news even before the scheduled start, that the 2nd XI game is off. Online it was described as a four-day game, but I was told that today was the last day.

Do you remember those great summers in the past when the outfields were parched and pale brown? The ground is vivid emerald green today! What a lousy summer it’s been.
