Hampshire Cricket History

A number of Bloggers know John, and others will recognise the name. Before the information flow was improved, he was particularly informative about our 2nd XI scores, and he watched as much Hampshire cricket as he could, red ball, white ball, and 2nd XI.

He was at the ground on Friday evening, but did not appear on Sunday. He had been taken seriously ill, and when found, was taken to QA Hospital, Portsmouth where I’m very sorry to report, he died this morning, around the time the first ball was being bowled. We shall miss him – not least his good pal, Jim Marshall. Our sympathy to him and to John’s family.

RIP
