Towards Third Place …

There are three blocks of fixtures left, although Lancs have played one game more, so not involved in the middle block.

It looks as though Yorkshire will take 11 or 12 points from a draw tomorrow, leaving them 8 or 9 points behind Hampshire; Lancashire are 7 behind and Worcs 24. It might as well rain until (the end of) September …

The bottom four teams play each other quite often, so they can’t all win everything

BLOCK ONE: Yorks v Lancs – plus Hants v Somerset, and Worcs v Surrey

BLOCK TWO: Yorks v Hants – plus Essex v Worcs

BLOCK THREE: Hants v Lancs, and Worcs v Yorks.

Now I know this isn’t your favourite format but well worth a watch for nostalgia’s sake 😊

Cheers Jo. I remember that day very well. Quite enjoyed it, we won and after all it was a bit of trivial fun for a couple of nights in the home season …
