Squawking Seagull that is (below, early this morning, socially distanced)
Not sure how today will proceed. Normally each side has an innings on each day. Maybe Sussex bat to lunch so it ends up as two sessions each?
The radio commentary is reliable at https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/cricket/53503465
The live feed and commentary is dodgy at https://youtu.be/6NUZAFvSoRQ
Or you can get all the scorecard details, video highlights and the same dodgy live feed at http://live.nvplay.com/ecb/#m3ce9fcb5-1ce5-4fec-bab5-86f529d89e1d

Apparently the arrangement prior to start of play yesterday was that Sussex would bat for sixty overs and us for thirty on day one with us batting for sixty more overs today followed by thirty for Sussex. Of course this would give Sussex two innings and us only one assuming we could last ninety overs of course. Still as it’s only a friendly they can make it up as they go along.
Comment by James July 28, 2020 @ 10:44 amThanks James. I suspect they will bat again as they declared overnight. Organ and Soames gone cheaply, Weatherley going well. Their pace attack looks quite strong even without Jordan and Archer.
Comment by pompeypop July 28, 2020 @ 11:33 amSounds as though Hampshire will bat for 60 overs and then Sussex for 30, as they had 27 overs yesterday.
Comment by Joel July 28, 2020 @ 11:36 amLunchtime – have we won? Weatherley gets the first Hampshire half-century of the season. Good!
Comment by pompeypop July 28, 2020 @ 12:36 pmWeatherley has retired – has the BBC commentary done the same? The live stream increasingly resembles one of my favourite American Art Scene Avant-Garde films of the late 1960s. For following cricket it’s useless!
Comment by pompeypop July 28, 2020 @ 12:59 pmWould have been better if Weatherley had batted on as remainder of team subsided rather quickly 😕 150-10 !!
Comment by John Cottrell July 28, 2020 @ 2:11 pmMaybe Weatherley should have returned – it seems that Finch and Brown are simply resuming their first innings as Sussex apparently have 15 wickets ‘in hand’. There we are – Dale gets to open after a duck – let’s hope his luck improves. The commentary seems to have gone down with the live stream now.
Comment by pompeypop July 28, 2020 @ 2:32 pmVery odd – I just got about five minutes of live stream and commentary but now it’s gone again. Will they fix it by Saturday I wonder?
