Another Problem with Predictability?

In the short stuff. As England were winning that T20 on Friday one of the commentators informed us that in the recent Pakistan Super League every match was won by the team batting second – as England did on Friday. Today they bat first – what will happen?

PS ‘Interesting'(?) weekend for the ‘Hampshire’ football teams (including Bournemouth). Thank goodness for the ‘Shots’!

India going pretty well yeah

The pakistan super league has since been postponed until June so I expect vince will be making his way back already. I expect he would have had to leave soon anyway as there might be a quarantine period before he can join up for the pre season

Thanks Michael. I welcome these comments as I tend not to keep up with all the 20 over competitions (and it seems India are chasing well).

1-1 and so far so predictable then.

In the shortest form of the game (except for that new comp, the name which escapes me) I think it is easier to chase than set. Hampshire have played 58 T20 matches in the last 5 seasons where there was a result. Hampshire batting first 28 times and won 11 and lost 17 Their opponents batted first 30 times and won 10 and lost 20. So almost 64% won by the chasing team.

Excellent stats Tigger – thanks. I wonder too (overall) whether that proportion seems to be increasing (not asking you for more work!!)
