Lunchtime and hard to believe it but at last we have April showers!

Middlesex 181

Hampshire 220-7 (Albert 74*, Fuller 50, Barker 10)

5.10 pm: 311-9 – Toby Albert (only second ever 2nd XI match) out for 93. Stevenson 43*, Ajeet Dale 24*.

370 all out. 121 for the last wicket by Stevenson 81 & Dale 43*

Is this a record for Hampshire 2nd XI’s 10th wicket v Middx 2nd XI on a damp Tuesday in April? (I’ve no idea)

Harry Came out for 85. Calvin Harrison (played two T20s last year) took 4-39 for Notts 2nds, currently 2* at lunch.

Thanks Joel. Interesting that while we had a drop of rain in Pompey – but not enough for my garden – it’s been sunny here for some time. But at the Ageas Bowl they’re still off, after about two-and-a-half-hours.

I noticed too that Adam Hose made a century for Warwicks – he’s from the IOW and played for our 2nd XI some years back.

The Oval 12 – Currie has been added to the XI from Sunday but no Cameron Steel who’s not in the 2nd XI either.
