My Shot of the Day

This was quite possibly the worst day to watch cricket I’ve ever known. It was the wind that clinched it. I’ve been very lucky to see as much cricket as I have over the past 15 months, very lucky, but I have yet to feel warm this year and I’m not anticipating anything different tomorrow – after which for anyone like me, there’s nothing to watch live for six weeks.

Excellent commentary from yourself and Kev today. We are hoping to try and make it up tomorrow afternoon..

Many thanks Stephen. I think we could win it – but we’ll need a full day.

Today’s Guardian – following a very dry April:

“The UK is on track for its wettest May on record, with further heavy rain forecast … According to provisional figures from the Met Office’s national climate information centre, Wales has already recorded 129% (110.6mm) of its average rainfall for the whole of the month, while the UK as a whole has had 88% (61.1mm)”.

So sad, my son and I are booked to come tomorrow, first chance we had, when we booked we were secretly praying for rain at some point to make sure the game went into a fourth day, all rather pointless now
