Fantastic last over from Wheal!

Well done Hawks. To quote Fraser from Dads Army – never doubted you!!!!

They came back from being dead and buried a few times in the group stage so it’s only right they did so again tonight. Just a remarkable run

I watched TV with Kevan’s commentary but when that finished I watched Butcher, Knight and Key talking about the game. They were VERY interesting (and complimentary) about Liam and also particularly positive about James Vince and Tom Prest, while praising the team’s overall character. Quite right too.

Spare a thought for those of us who were there. Heart still pounding, legs shaking

And the 2nds won by 8 wickets too!

Comment by dmashala

This was the lowest score defended by Hampshire since they scored 112-5 against Sussex in 2006. It is the 2nd lowest since T20 started in 2003. A fantastic bowling performance. I wish I watched it now!! Well done Hampshire.

Cheers Tigger – it was (eventually) definitely worth a look. I hope Coronation Street was OK.

Coverage today in the Times and Telegraph and a good page in the Pompey News (Echo anyone?).
