Looking a bit gloomy

And the weather

10-2? Our lowest T20 v Somerset is 91 in 2017.

41-4 and looking a bit damp now – my roses could do with a drop

There we are then – Len Barry time. One of my favourite blue-eyed soul records (always looking on the bright side huh? But my roses got not a drop)

Ellis 0-15 from two balls. Probably a Hampshire record (?)

On the live stream the sunset looks very fine indeed – best thing so far.

Sometimes I miss a day’s cricket and wish I’d been there. On other occasions … Well played James Fuller.

A bit more ‘bright side’? The first time we lost the first two matches was in 2004, but we still reached the quarter-final. In 2012 the first game was abandoned and we lost the next two. In our last game that year we won the Trophy (at Cardiff).

Otherwise, only in 2018 did we lose the first three, although in 2007 the first game was abandoned and we lost the next three.

A cynic might say you might not have got any rain Dave but there was plenty of “fertiliser” at the Bowl for your roses.

Hah!! Yes I thought from the stream it looked pretty poor. In fact we got a fine downpour in the middle of the night. Most welcome.
