In the Archive we have Bob Stephenson’s keeping gloves and a signed ‘mitten’ by Robin Snith but not much else of that sort. Bill asked about the gloves worn by Fred Titmus below and what we do have are lots of photos so here is one from the later 1950s at Portsmouth of Roy Marshall & Jimmy Gray opening the batting. You can see they have gone beyond the ‘spikes’. (I can date it because one or two of the kids were at my school)
